Client Case Study – STANLEY Security

We’re honored to announce we picked up a new client before the year’s end: STANLEY Security.


For our initial exploratory meeting, we hosted the STANLEY team at our office and immediately felt a bond with them. They were looking for a new creative partner and we were excited not only about their brand but about the opportunity to work with their entire team. They exuded an unparalleled confidence, clarity, and direction that we don’t often see in prospective client meetings.


When STANLEY tapped us to take over their external creative and communications tasks, we were absolutely thrilled. To be trusted with the look, feel and messaging of one of the largest security companies in the country was a huge undertaking and we were ready for the challenge.



We quickly got to work, as our first deadline was only 4 weeks away – just in time for the 61st Annual ASIS trade show, the world’s most influential security conference! We immediately began to create materials for the STANLEY Insights initial launch at a major tradeshow, all while learning the ins, outs, and nuances of a new client. It was a tall order, but not insurmountable.




We began by understanding what this product does: analyze a company’s security data to identify product loss, potential prevention, and analyze trends in predictability. Next we created an overarching product message – Shed Light on Your Data – followed by collateral materials including signage, brochures, and digital banner ads.


The out-of-the-box element we fashioned: a STANLEY-branded flashlight designed as a promotional giveaway for tradeshow attendees. When it became clear our suppliers were not going to meet the tight deadline, we did what was necessary, rolled up our sleeves and assembled the first round of giveaways ourselves.

Since that initial tradeshow deadline, we’ve undertaken a number of additional creative marketing assignments for STANLEY. Working within the branding guidelines of a Fortune 500 company can be a challenge, especially in making each piece have a similar look and feel, but still take on a visual life of its own
